Miami University’s campus can easily be compared to that of a Disney movie.

The beautiful greenery, wildlife, flowers, and more make this campus one of a kind.

Miami’s beauty brings students and surrounding communities together to indulge in the idyllic landscape.

Whether you are walking to class, having a picnic, sitting outside with friends, or on your way to eat, the beauty of Miami is guaranteed to boost your mood.

Conrad Formal Gardens

Located behind Farmer School of Business, the Conrad Formal Gardens offer a beautiful photo spot, perfect place for a picnic, and a calming place to relax.

The gardens were named after Arthur F. Conrad, who took care of the grounds at Miami and strived to build Miami’s beautiful landscape. The gardens are beautiful all year round, however, spring and summer are the perfect times to see many flowers blossom.

Wildlife

Deer are very common on Miami’s campuses. Miami students often pass a deer or two on their way to class.

The vast green spaces, woods, and peaceful environment make it a perfect location for deer and other wildlife.

Dogwood Grove

Located near the Conrad Formal Gardens, behind the Miami Inn, is the beautiful Dogwood Grove.

Its beautiful ponds, greenery, and birds allow students to reflect and relax. Dogwood Grove is the perfect spot for a picnic with friends or a peaceful study space.

Sunrises and Sunsets

The sunrises and sunsets at Miami are unmatched.

The beautiful swirls of pink, purple, yellow, and orange every morning make getting up for an early class easy. Almost every student has a folder filled with photos of their favorite sunrise or sunset they watched on campus.

Flowers Galore

While walking around campus, you will notice the beautiful landscape and flowers.

The desire to have a beautiful campus cannot be accomplished without the amazing staff who ensure the grounds at Miami stay pristine. The flowers across campus are beautiful, especially in spring when the tulips blossom.

The beautiful greenery and flower blossoms make the walk around campus peaceful and relaxing.

Ernst Nature Theatre

Located on the edge of Western Campus, behind Peabody Hall, is the Ernst Nature Theatre. This theater has been home to many plays and dance performances.

This amphitheater was given to the Western College for Women in the 1920s by Richard P. Ernst. Plants and wildlife fill this beautiful theater.

“The most beautiful campus that ever there was”

That quote is from four-time Pulitzer Prize winning poet Robert Frost.

When you are on campus, take a minute to notice some of these well-known beauties and even discover something new.
