As Miami has had a record-breaking season, there’s one RedHawk who’s been ready to cheer on the team win or lose all season long – Swoop.

You’ll find him front row, on his feet, and cheering more than anyone in the arena. But what do you really know about Swoop?

More Than a Mascot

Swoop doesn’t just cheer, he brings the energy.

Swoop eats, sleeps, and breathes Miami, and is leading the cheering at every game. Whether it’s a packed arena or a last-second play, he’s the first one cheering on the RedHawks and showing what it means to wear red and white.

His Favorites:

  • Favorite food: Tuffy’s Toasted Roll
  • Favorite season: All seasons when Miami Athletics are playing
  • Favorite colors: Red and White

Game Day with Swoop

So what does Miami’s number one fan actually do during games?

Short answer? Everything.

Swoop is leading cheers, getting the crowd on their feet, and even starting the wave across the entire stadium. Swoop is showing fans what it means to cheer on their team by dancing, hyping up players, and bringing the spirit all the time, no matter the score. Don’t worry though, Swoop makes time while cheering to take pictures with all of his fans!

When the game ends, Swoop doesn’t slow down. He’s out in the community, welcoming new students, visiting future RedHawks, and teaching the next generation how to cheer loud and proud.

Cheer like Swoop

After a record-breaking basketball season, Swoop has been there through it all, leading the cheers, building the hype, and being the face of the fans.

And now, with March Madness tipping off, you can expect one thing:

Swoop will be ready.

Louder. Prouder. And more fired up than ever.

So, at the next game you go to, try to cheer louder and prouder than Swoop (be warned though: it’s a hard task) and make sure to get a picture with Miami’s #1 fan!
